A decade has passed since Tuesday, September 11, 2001. One of the questions I’m frequently asked is whether it feels like it has been ten years. I think many things determine how someone experiences the passing of time. In so many ways, it doesn’t seem possible that we’ve arrived here in 2011.
In ten years, the LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation has accomplished more than we could have imagined. Our scholarship recipients have carried forward LeRoy’s legacy with their passion for flight in their pursuit of aviation careers. LeRoy would be proud to have these extraordinary young men and women carry his name forward.
Thank you to everyone who has helped the Foundation become what it is today. Thank you for not forgetting and continuing to support us. Now ten years later, instead of focusing on the pain of September 11, 2001, we can appreciate the accomplishments of The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation. Take a moment to read up on what our past scholarship recipients are doing. It is truly inspirational.
